Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) has announced a road map titled “Make by Bangladesh” to ensure 2% contribution in the country’s GDP from the information and communication technology sector by 2018.
At a programme held in its innovation centre yesterday, BCS President AHM Mahfuzul Arif made the announcement, where State Minister of the ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present. In the presentation, BCS president said the ICT hardware installation sector would earn $1 billion by 2017 while the figure will stand at $5 billion in the next year.
