The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have seized huge amount of explosives from inside a truck in the district's Alamdanga upazila on early Saturday.
BGB Chuadanga Battalion Direcor Lt Col SM Muniruzzaman said: "Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Chuadanga and Jessore BGB seized the explosives, wighting 5,867Kg from a truck near a petrol pupm."
"The price of the seized explosives has been estimated at TK2.56 lakh.”
The explosives were supposed to be sent to India, the BGB official said.
