An executive magistrate has been injured after his private car carrying fell into a roadside ditch on Sunamganj-Sylhet highway in the district's Nilpur Bazar area.
Quoting the locals, Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Rafiqul Islam said: “The car fell into a ditch as the driver lost his control over the steering early Saturday, leaving Executive Magistrate Nizam Uddin critically injured.”
He was rushed to a local hospital immediately.
Later, Nazim was shifted to Sylhet Ragib Rabeya Medical College Hospital after his condition deteriorated, said the DC.
He was coming from Dhaka with the question paper of Madrasa Board, said the official.
