With a lit up face with excitement for the release of her movie “Dolly Ki Doli,” Sonam Kapoor just couldn’t stop smiling and talking about her film.
The actress, who is nothing like the character she plays in the movie, in real life, said that she has played a con woman and enjoyed it thoroughly. Sonam Kapoor gave her reasons to the viewers to watch her film, which she thinks will be loved by the feminists and young women who prioritise marriage over everything. “The first and foremost reason for watching the film is the fun element in it,” said Sonam.
Secondly, a movie which has a fashionista like Sonam playing a cool con woman, a laid back police officer like Pulkit Samrat, a funny young groom with a superb sense of comic timing, Varun Sharma and a serious husband like Rajkummar Rao offers the perfect entertainment for the Indian audience.
Third and most important reason that the actress gave, was the time span of the movie. Without having to sit back for hours and glaring into the screen for long, “Dolly Ki Doli” is just 100 minutes long. Well, we consider that to be a strong point in the favour of the film.
Fourth reason according to Sonam is “You can go to the theatre with your family and enjoy it with them as the movie is clean and all it contains is comedy.”
And the most important reason for watching the movie according to the diva is the amazing content and the music.
Sonam also said, “It’s a very beautifully conceptualised film. You will definitely get entertained and you will also get a message indirectly. Very subtly, issues like dowry, strange mother-in-laws and chauvinism have been talked about, in a light and funny manner.”
