Two more arson victims have succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
The deceased are Jakir Hossain, 11, and truck driver Abdur Rahim.
Abdur Rahim had sustained burn injuries of a petrol-bomb attack on a truck in Bagura on Thursday night.
Burn unit's Residential Officer Partha Sankar Paul told the Dhaka Tribune that doctors pronounced Rahim dead around 10:30am on Friday.
He said Jakir was brought to the DMCH from Savar on Thursday midnight.
"The boy succumbed to his injuries around 1:30am," he added.
The current blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance has been marked by violence and sporadic clashes between the police and protesters, leaving a number of people killed and injured. More than 30 people have been killed so far.
