A day labourer has been crushed under the wheels of a mud-laden tractor in Sailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah.
The deceased is Tamim Mandal, 35, son of Toaz Mandal of Debtala village under the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Sailkupa police station Hashem Khan said: “Tamin was working on a mud-laden tractor when he fell down the vehicle and crushed under its wheels around 4:45pm on Thursday.”
He was taken to Sailkupa upazila health complex around 5:50pm where the on duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
No case was filed in this connection till filling of the report at 9:30pm, the official said.
