Miscreants have vandalised the car of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Samsul Islam of Baniachong in Sylhet.
Locals said miscreants vandalised the vehicle that was kept in front of UNO’s residence around 3pm on Thursday and fled from the scene immediately.
UNO Samsul Islam said: “I have no idea about those who vandalised the vehicle. But I heard that local Chhatra Dal activists are behind the misdeed.”
Officer-in-Charge of Baniachong police station Liakat Ali inspected the spot.
He said none was arrested in connection with the attack as of 7pm.
Drives were underway to arrest the miscreants, he added.
