A case has been filed against 60 leaders and activists of BNP, its youth and student wings in Gazipur.
Sreepur model police station Sub-Inspector Arifur Rahman filed the case against 40 identified BNP activists on Monday night on charges of arson attack and carrying out violence in Gazipur.
The accused include Akhtarul Alam Master, president of Telhati union unit of BNP, District Chhatral Dal leader Ataur Rahman Mollah, Arif Hossain, publicity secretary of Sreepur Chhatra Dal unit and his younger brother Sharif Hossain.
Police were conducting raids to arrest the accused, said SI Saiful Islam.
