A Jamalpur court has sentenced five people to death for killing a schoolboy in the district.
The convicted are Fazle Rabbi Shishir, Saddam, Setu, Zakir Hossain and Miran, hailed from Sadar upazila.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Waheduzzaman Shikder handed down the verdict around on Tuesday noon at the presence of all the convicts.
According to case statement, the convicts stabbed Mohammad Shadin to death on 23 March 2010. He was a class X student of Rashidpur Qawmi madrasa in Bajaripara area of the district town.
On March 24, 2010, the victim’s father Saiful Islam filed a case against the five people.
