At least three people have been killed and three others injured after a vegetable laden truck overturned on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near the Chaitao area of Narsingdi district on Sunday.
The deceased is identified as Abdus Sattar, 40, Yasin Mia, 45, and Md Sarkar, 39. All of the deceased were vegetable traders.
Identity of the injured could not be known immediately and they were rushed to Narshindi Sadar Hospital.
The driver of a Dhaka-bound vegetable laden truck lost his control over wheel and overturned in the Chaitabo area at Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 8:30pm, killing three people on the spot and injuring the others.
Assistant police Super (Narshindi circle) confirmed about the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said the accident took place around 8.30pm in Chaitabo area under Shibpur upazila of the district.
