A bus helper has been killed as the vehicle hit with an electric pole in Chittagong city’s Halishahar area after the driver losing his control over the steering Saturday morning.
The deceased was Md Hanif, 20, son of Abed Ali, a resident in city’s Firoj Shah Colony under Akbar Shah police station, said police station.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Sohel Rana of Halishahar police station said the accident took place at Wapda area on Port Connecting Road of Halishahar at around 6am.
The bus coming from AK Khan area hit with an electric post after the driver lost the control over the steering, leaving him dead on the spot, said the SI.
Police seized the bus from the spot while the driver managed to flee after the accident, the SI said.
