A housewife has allegedly committed suicide after taking poison over family feud at Beldia village under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur district.
The deceased was identified as Asma Akter, 28, wife of Bacchu Miah of the village. She left a two years old son.
Deceased’s husband Bacchu Miah said Asma tried to suicide by consuming poison over family feud on January 14.
She was sent her to the Sreepur upazila health complex, but her condition did not improve.
Later, family members took her in husband’s house on Friday evening where she died on that night.
Asma, daughter of Abdul Aziz of Khaorail village under Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh district was married with Bacchu Mia, son of Sultan Uddin of Beldia village under Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district four years ago.
After their marriage, family feud was a regular matter.
Officer-in-charge of Sreepur model police station Mohsin Ul Kadir said we had not found yet any complaint regarding the incident.
“We will take legal action after getting complaint.”
