An official of National Security Intelligence (NSI) has been killed after being hit by a speedy-driven bus in the capital's Paltan area on Saturday morning.
The deceased is Abdus Sattar, senior field officer of the NSI.
Witnesses said the NSI official was hit by the bus while he was crossing the street in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Md Sentu said: “The on-duty doctor declared Sattar dead after he was being taken to the hospital around 9am on Saturday. He was died on the spot.”
The police managed to capture the driver and seized the killer bus, he added.
