The government decided to appoint Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the Maldives.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs unveiled the information at a media release yesterday.
Rear Admiral Kazi Sarwar Hossain joined Bangladesh Navy in 1980.
Throughout his distinguished career in Navy, he served in different capacities with reputation.
Previously Sarwar Hossain served as the Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard. He also served in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Ivory Coast.
He received a number of trainings from different institutions in both home and abroad.
