Outgoing Chief Justice Md Muzammel Hossain made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
During the meet, the chief justice expressed gratitude to the president for his cooperation in discharging his duties, president's press secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS after the meeting.
Md Muzammel Hossain said court functioned normally during his tenure.
He underscored the need for increasing the number of courts to reduce the backlog of cases.
