Two people have been killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in Gauchhia area under Rupganj upazila of the district.
One of the deceased was identified as Jaj Miah, 35, son of Ohijul Haque of Malekchar Sarkarpara area under Basuganj thana in Jamalpur district, reports BSS.
However, the identity of the other person could not be known immediately, police said.
Police sources said the accident occurred when a bus turned turtle on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at around 6:30am on Thursday as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and ten others injured.
The injured were sent to different clinics.
