A person has been killed as a truck plunged into a roadside ditch when pickets hurled petrol bombs at it in Jowarganj area under Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong.
The deceased is Anam Hossain, 35.
Two others have also been injured in the incident.
Jowarganj highway police outpost In-Charge Forid Uddin said the accident took place around 9pm on Monday.
“We have detained one Nurul Islam Shimul for allegedly hurling the petrol bombs at the running truck,” he said.
Mirsarai upazila health complex doctor Allauddin said: “Anam died of head injury around 9:30am on Tuesday. We have referred the other two injured to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.”
