Three people have been killed and six others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway in Kalihait upazila of Tangail.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Akheruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East police station, said the accident took place when a North Bengal bound privet car collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound sand leaden truck at Shalla around 8am on Tuesday.
"Three people died on the spot and six others were injured in the accident," said the OC.
The injured were admitted to Tangail Medical College Hospital.
