Petrol bomb kills one in Gaibandha

A man has been run over by a truck when he tried to come out from the bus as petrol bomb was thrown on it by the miscreants during BNP's blockade on Sunday midnight.

The deceased is Parvez, 25, hailed from Srirampur village of Ramganj upazila of Lakhsmipur, Gobindaganj police outpost Officer-in-Charge Masud Parvez confirmed the death to the Dhaka Tribune.

The police official said the blockade supporters hurled a petrol bomb on a Dhaka-bound bus of Ena Paribahan on Dhaka-Rangpur highway at Kalitala Bridze area under Gobindaganj upazila of the district around 12:30am.

Three passengers of the bus sustained burn injuries during the attack, he said.

To escape the attack, Parvez jumped off the bus and was run over by a speedy truck coming from opposite direction. He died on the spot, the OC added.

Asadul, one of the injured, was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogra in critical condition.
