At least two policewomen have been killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between police carrying bus and a truck at Fakirapool in the capital.
The deceased were identified as Constable Monira Akhter, 22, and Aklima Begum, 21.
After the accident, the seriously injured constables were immediately taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor declared them dead, reports BSS.
The critically injured police forces were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital.
The bodies of the constables were taken to DMCH for autopsy.
The police also detained the truck.
