Police have unlocked the main gate of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office in Dhaka, where she had been confined for five days.
Police opened the lock around 11:50am on Thursday.

A Dhaka court has ordered the investigating officer to interrogate Ekushey Television (ETV) Chairman Abdus Salam at jail gate within five working days.

One Paris gunman surrenders

9 BNP-Jamaat men held in Satkhira
Police have arrested nine activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its students’ wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in a special drive in the district.
The drive was conducted in the district town from Wednesday evening till Thursday morning, said Satkhira Additional Police Super Mir Modasser Hossain.
15 vehicles vandalised in Jhenaidah
Pickets have vandalised at least 15 vehicles in Sailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah district on Wednesday night, the second day of countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
Locals said the pickets of BNP and Jamaat-e Islami damaged at least 15 trucks and buses parked near Chariarbeal area on Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway in the upazila about 10pm.
Joypurhat rail service resumes
Rail communications on the Khulna-Rajshahi and Rajshahi-Dhaka routes have been resumed after four hours follwing a halt on Thursday.

3 killed in Barisal road accident
Three people have been killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and three-wheeler at Guthiya on Barisal-Banaripara road of the district.
The accident took place at 11:20am Thursday, Wazirpur police station Officer-in-Charge Nurul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune.
