Three people have been killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and three-wheeler at Guthiya on Barisal-Banaripara road of the district.
The accident took place at 11:20am Thursday, Wazirpur police station Officer-in-Charge Nurul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune.
Of the deceased, one was identified as customs official Awlad Hossain, he said.
Islam said: “Three people died on the spot in the accident. The injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.”
