A person has died after pickets threw stones at him on Chandpur-Comilla Highway near Ghosherghat area under Shaharasti upazila.
The deceased is Alok Chakrabarti, 35, son of Ramesh Chakrabarti, of Borlia village under the upazila.
Shaharasti police station Officer-in-Charge Md Mozammel Haque said: “The CNG-run auto rickshaw carrying him turned upside down when the pickets threw brick chips on it around 8pm on Monday.”
“He was rushed to Chandpur Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor suggested taking Alok to Dhaka. Later, he died on his way to Dhaka.”
