At least 10 people sustained injuries in a clash between two factions of the ruling Awami League in Savar on Monday.
Locals said the members of the ruling Awami League staged a rally at the Bus Stand area around 12:30pm, marking the “Victory Day of Decmocracy.”
At one stage, the members of two factions of the party locked into a clash over previous enmity, leaving 10 people injured on both sides.
Later, the senior leaders of the ruling party bring the situation under control.
AL General Secretary of the municipality unit Manik Mollah said: “The clash erupted due to a misunderstanding between the members of the two groups. But, now the situation is under control.”
