Profit-making tendency in education would not be allowed, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said.
He uttered warning saying steps are coming to stop making profit from education sector.
Nahid was addressing as the chief guest on the occasion of centenary celebration of Islampur Nekjahan Pilot Model High School in Islampur of Jamalpur district on Saturday.
The minister said both male and female are getting equal access to education under this government.
Bangladesh can move forward and keep pace with the globe, only by providing modern and world-class education to the new generation.
The government is working to that purpose, Nahid reiterated.
Nahid added a party wanted to keep the nation in dark by disrupting education by means of their subversive acts before, but they have failed.
This year the students have got the new books on time and the celebration of the new books is going on around the country, he said.
