Three people were killed and four others injured in road accidents in Comilla and Naogaon yesterday.
Our Comilla correspondent reports, two people were killed and four others injured a road accident in Burichang area.
The deceased are Roni,32, an auto-rickshaw driver; and Ibrahim Khalil,40. While the injured are Nilufar Aktar,27; her daughter Ankhi Aktar,13; Shurovi,13, daughter of Ameer Hossain of the same village. But the identity of another injured could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident took place as a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on in the area, killing the duo on the spot.
The injured were rushed to Eastern Medical College Hospital. Later, they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Locals set fire on the bus after the incident.
Our Naogaon correspondent reports, a schoolboy was killed on the spot as a tractor ran him over after hitting his bicycle in Doaler Intersection area of Manda. The deceased, Abdul Barek Palash,16, was a class X student of Kushumba DB High School.
