Britto Arts Trust has organised a month long art project titled 1 mile2, which started on December 5 and will end today. The last day will be the open studio for the project to collaborate with communities to map their neighbourhood exploring biodiversity, cultural diversity, and aesthetic diversity (buildings and open spaces) of their local square mile.
The programme brings together social and environmental sustainability via creative media. Forty artists are participating in the project with community and educational projects like video, film, photography, sound work, installation, performance arts and research in different locations of Old Dhaka. Britto is an international organisation based in Bangladesh. It has been working to promote young and emerging artists since 2002.
