Salah Uddin Ali Ahmed has been elected as president, Mamun Kibria Sumon senior vice president and Masud Ahmed Choudhury vice president of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
The election in the posts of President, Senior Vice President and Vice president were held at Chamber Building at Jail road in Sylhet at 4. 30 pm on Thursday.
Election Commissioner and also Sadar Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mir Mahbubul Rahman announced the result.
The three were elected unopposed in the election, said the election commissioner.
Earlier, 22 directors of the chamber were elected in the election, held on Wednesday.
This election was scheduled to be held on October 2, 2013, however, High Court stayed the election for four weeks as two director candidates, Hafijur Rahman and Hasin Ahmed, filed a writ petition.
