Theatre troupe Prachyanaut is to stage a new production titled Tragedy Palashbari today at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 7pm.
The play depicts the tragic collapse of a nine-storey factory at Palashbari in April 2005, when more than 70 garment workers died. The drama highlights the garment workers’ dreams and aspirations which can be shattered in a blink of an eye due to such tragedies.
Tragedy Palashbari, the 30th production of the troupe, is written and directed by Azad Abul Kalam.
