The local administration has imposed section 144 in Dampara of Nikli upazila, Kishoreganj to avert any possible altercations seeing how two factions of the BNP have convened separate programmes at same venue and time slot.
The ban has been imposed on holding all sorts of gatherings including rallies, processions, protest rallies and human chains from 3pm to 10pm on Friday.
Confirming the matter, UNO of Nikli upazila Md Habibur Rahman said local two factions of the BNP called for separate meetings at the field of Dampara High School for the same time.
He said the administration imposed the ban on any kind of gathering being held within the locality.
