A man has died of shock after his son's alleged murder at Moradhar village under Haripur upazila of the district.
Haripur police station Officer-in-Charge Aktaruzzaman Prodhan said Hannan Ali, 60, rushed to the spot after he heard the news of his son Ismail Hossain’s murder around 4pm on Thursday.
“Noticing his son’s blood-stained body, Hannan got cardiac arrest and died on the spot,” said the OC.
The police official said Ismail Hossain might have been hacked to death on Wednesday night.
He, however, said police were investigating into the murder.
The body will be sent to Thakurgaon sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
None was arrested in this connection till filling of the report at 6pm.
