The leaders, activists of Jubo League and Chhatra League of Habiganj district unit have brought out joyous rallies in the district town after the verdict of International War Crimes Tribunal that awarded death sentence to Syed Mohammad Qaisar.
In the rallies, they demanded immediate execution of the verdict.
In an immediate reaction after Qaisar’s verdict, Habiganj District Muktijoddha Commander and also witness in the case, Advocate Muhammad Ali expressed his satisfaction.
“We are waiting for the immediate execution of the verdict that was given to the war crimes convicted Qaisar for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971,” said Rafiqul Hasan Chowdhury Tuhin, general secretary of Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee of Habiganj district unit.
