A fifth-grader girl have been gang raped in Comilla's Daudkandi upazila on Friday.
The mother of the victim told the Dhaka Tribune: “Local miscreants Rabuil, Hridoy, Riadh and Sumon intercepted my daughter near a pond on Friday evening while she was returning home after collecting her monthly stipend from school.”
“Later, they raped her and left the place immediately. I am demanding exemplary punishment of the criminals.”
Locals said they have rescued the injured girl and admitted her to Gouripur Hospital.
Daudkandi Model police station Officer-in-Charge Abu Salam Mia said: “We already have arrested Rabiul and Sumon on Saturday morning. Drives underway to capture the other criminals.”
