President Abdul Hamid has expressed deep shock over the mass killing of children in a savage Taliban militant attack at a school in the northwestern city of Peshawar in Pakistan on Tuesday.
“I am deeply shocked by the barbaric and heinous massacre in Peshawar. I strongly condemn the savage killing of school children,” the president said in a condolence message issued yesterday.
The president also prayed for the departed souls and offered sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia vehemently condemned the attack by the Taliban on the day of the incident.
At least 148 people, including 132 children, were killed after gunmen broke into a military-run high school in Peshawar and opened fire.
