Eden College students have laid a blockade in Nilkhet area of New Market in the capital after a bus ran over the legs of a second year student of the adjacent Home Economics College.
The identity of the student could not be known immediately.
The student got injured in the accident that occurred around 5:45pm on Monday, witnesses said.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) immediately, Sub-Inspector Shaheed of Nilkhet police outpost told the Dhaka Tribune.
Following the accident, the Eden College students put a blockade on Nilkhet to Azimpur road.
Police were trying to negotiate with them over withdrawing the blockade till filing of this report at 7:39pm.
