The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Housing Ministry has recommended Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) to recover all illegally occupied lands under its remit immediately, and to decide steps to build flats for overcoming the housing crisis of government employees.
The recommendation was made at the committee’s meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban yesterday. The committee recommended Rajuk to cancel the plot or flat of any individual owning more than one plot or flat in Rajuk projects. It also urged actions to recover the illegally occupied canals under the ministry.
