Bangabandhu murder case judge Kazi Golam Rasul has died at United Hospital in the capital on Thursday morning.
Dhaka District and Sessions judge Kazi Golam Rasul in 1998 handed down capital punishment to 15 accused, all former army officers, in Bangabandhu Murder Case.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of former judge, BSS reported.
In her condolence message, the prime minister recalled the contribution of Golam Rasul to the judiciary.
She also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury said.
