RMG worker Faruq Hossain has won the second edition of BGMEA Gorbo contest, a music reality show for the country’s RMG workers, at the shows grand finale that was held on Monday at Bangabandhu Internation Conference Centre.
Along with the title, Faruq also won a prize money of Tk10 lakh, sponsored by the Summit Group.
Sohel Arman and Tanvir Ahmed won the first and second runner-up positions, respectively, receiving the prize money of Tk5 lakh and Tk3 lakh, respectively, which were sponsored by Robintex Group and Impressive Group.
The remaining finalist received Tk2 lakh, sponsored by BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology.
The rest of the top 10 competitors also received Tk1 lakh each from the BUFT.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed was the chief guest and Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury was the special guest at the grand finale.
The winners of the BGMEA Gorbo 2012 took champion trophy and prize money from the chief guest Tofail Ahmed, the commerce minister and from the special guest Matia Chowdhury, the agriculture minister on the occasion. Atiqul Islam, president of the BGMEA, gave the welcome speech at the event.
Superstars such as Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas, Kumar Bishwajit, Mehzabien, Abu Hena Rony and Shoshi performed at the event.
