A three-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident of an oil tanker capsize in a Sundarbans river.
Chandpai Range Assistant Conservator Belayet Hosssain has been made the chief of the committee which was formed on Wednesday afternoon.
Tanker Southern Star 7, carrying 357,000 litres of oil capsized in Shela River at Sundarbans early Tuesday. Oil is spilling from the sunken tanker that endangered the entire local ecology.
Later, Chandpai Range Official Abul Kalam Azad filed a case against the owner of the tanker in the night.
