The ferry services on Simulia-Kawrakandi route in Padma river has resumed after four hours of disruption due to dense fog.
The service resumes around 3:30am on Monday.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Simulia Ghat Assistant Manager Shekhar Chandra Roy said: “We had to stop the ferry service around 11.45pm on Sunday as beacon of the river could not be seen.”
“Five ferries were stranded on the middle point of the river while 200 vehicles got stuck on both sides of the ghat due to the fog,” he said.
