Six persons have sustained burn injuries as a gas cylinder of a composite factory blasted in Palli Bidyut area under Kaliakoir upazila.
Kaliakoir police station Officer-in-Charge Omar Faruk said a gas cylinder blasted while it was being taken to the factory on a van around 11am on Saturday.
Six persons including the security guard of Ahsan Composite Limited were injured in the blast, said the OC.
The injured were first rushed to a local clinic and then shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The injured are Mohammed Azgar Ali, 36, a covered van driver, Haider Ali, 38, security guard of the factory, Abdul Jalil, 37, the store in-charge, Apon, 30, Abdul Barek, 36, the employees of the factory, and Aman Ullah Aman, 38, supervisor of Shafi Processing Industry of the locality.
