The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel, in a drive, have recovered 40 crude bombs from Shiali Bazar area under the Sadar upazila.
Lieutenant Commander Faizul Islam Mandal, deputy director of RAB 8, said: “Acting on tip off, a team of RAB 8 conducted the drive in the area and recovered the unattended bombs from a shop around 10:30pm on Friday.”
However, the miscreants managed to flee the scene sensing the presence of the law enforcers.
The recovered bombs were handed over to Potuakhali Sadar police station, added the official.
