The first Media Youth Leadership Summit (MYLS), arranged by Dream On, a youth led organisation, has begun at the EMK centre in the capital on Thursday.
The six-day long media summit is aiming to accumulate the young people, who have the passion for working in media and to nurture them to become future leaders in this sector.
40 Delegates are participating in the summit, where two of them are from Nepal.
The summit is structured as an interactive style discussion containing three sessions every day starting from 3pm to 7:30pm.
The participants will also get to visit at least two media houses to gather practical knowledge about the work procedure in the media.
George Mesths, the CAO of American Center, and Shahidul Alam, the founder of Drik Gallary, inaugurated the country’s first media summit on December 4.
The curtain of the program will fall on December 9.
Dream On is a youth led organisation working to encourage young people to fulfill their dreams. They organise various programs on arts and media.
