A woman and her daughter have allegedly been raped by miscreants on gun-point at Chunarughat of Habiganj.
Locals admitted the victims to Habiganj sadar hospital on Friday morning.
Local sources said a group of miscreants entered into the house of night guard Alfu Mia and raped his wife and daughter on gun-point at midnight on Thursday. Alfu Mia was on duty at Shayestaganj at that time.
Hearing the cry of the victims, locals rushed in making the miscreants to flee the scene.
Habiganj sadar hospital residential medical officer Mohsin Kabir said a woman and her daughter were admitted to the hospital allegedly after being raped.
"It will be confirmed after the medical test whether they were raped," said the medical officer.
When contacted, Chunarughat police station Officer-in-Charge Amulyo Kumar Chowdhury said none has filed any complaint in this regard yet.
