The Walton Smartphone Victory Day Open Bodybuilding, comprising 200 bodybuilders from across the country, starts at the National Sports Council gymnasium today.
The two-day event will see the bodybuilders compete in five weight categories – 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75 kilograms. The winners will receive cash awards of Taka four, three and two thousand respectively while the fourth and fifth placed bodybuilders will be awarded Tk1000 each.
The details of the event were revealed in a press conference by the additional director of Walton, FM Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, who is also the vice president of the bodybuilding federation.
Nazrul Islam, the general secretary of the federation, first senior assistant director of Walton Smartphone Asifur Rahman Asif, federation vice-president Shahabuddin were present among others during the occasion.
