A private university student has been killed after being thrashed by a local transport in the capital on Tuesday.
The deceased is Sadi Moshed, a second year BBA student of Independent University, Bangladesh, son of SM Akram, presidium member of Jatiya Party (Zafar).
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Badda police station Abdul Karim said: The deceased was on bike while the driver of Falgun Paribahan thrashed him from back.”
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) immediately and announced death by the on-duty doctors soon after the arrival around 5:40pm, he added.
Enamul Haq, one of the passengers of the bus, said: “We warned the driver more and more to drive sincerely as he was having conversation with a girl seating besides him.”
Even, at the moment he hit the man, he was continuing his conversation without caring about what’s going on in front of him, he added.
