Customs Intelligence officials have detained a person in possession with 14 gold bars and 77 gold chains at Shah Amanat Airport in Chittagong.
The detainee is Md Rashid, 38.
Shushanto Paul, assistant commissioner of Customs Intelligence, told the Dhaka Tribune that they found 14 gold bars from a box of eyeglasses of Shushanto. Later, 77 gold chains were seized from his luggage.
The seized gold bars and chains are worth around Tk90 lakhs, said the Customs official.
