Islamic University (IU) has been closed for an indefinite period following violent protests after the death of a student in a road accident.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the IU syndicate.
Touhidur Rahman Titu, a third year student of Biotechnology department, died after he was caught between two buses on the campus on Sunday morning.
Immediately after the death, fellow students of Islamic University in Kushtia staged violent protests.
