BNP Joint Secretary General Barkatullah Bulu and his wife have received injuries when a speedy-driven truck knocked his private car on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway near Daudkandi upazila of Comilla.
Abul Hasem, the upazila unit BNP general secretary, said A speedy-driven truck knocked his private car near Gouripur of Daudkandi around 10pm on Friday, leaving Bulu and his wife injured.
They took primary treatment and stayed the night at Abul Hasem's house in Gouripur.
Bulu was going to Comilla in order to attend Saturday's public rally of the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
Later, the highway police seized the truck.
