The first teaser for “Game of Thrones” has arrived in the most mysterious and sneaky of ways.
On Tuesday, the official “Game of Thrones” Facebook page posted a video advertising a new Season 5 website and social media campaign in which the “three eyed raven” will give fans “visions” of the new season. When fans go to the site they are invited to sign up with a cell phone number or Twitter account to receive “the power of the Sight.” The Hollywood Reporter predicts that this is how HBO will reveal the first full Season 5 trailer, and the fans wouldn’t be surprised. The video itself is a 10-second teaser for the new season, although it’s unclear if all of the footage is new.
There is an emphasis on Arya in the brief teaser. It features what seems to be an old audio clip of Melisandre saying, “I see a darkness in you” with shots of Arya holding Needle, the iron coin Jaqen H’ghar gave her, and one possible major reveal: the door at the end.
